We Relieve Pain and Nerve Damage with Cervical Radiculopathy or Pinched Nerve in NYC

Cervical radiculopathy is a condition characterized by pain, numbness, tingling or weakness in the limbs caused by a nerve being pinched or irritated in the spine.

We understand the impact radiculopathy can have on your quality of life, how it limits your range of motion, comfort, and overall well-being. Our specialized physical therapy and chiropractic team treats patients like you and is committed to providing comprehensive care tailored to your unique needs and medical history, ensuring you achieve long term relief and recovery without spinal surgery.

What is Radiculopathy or Pinched Nerve?

Radiculopathy occurs when one or more nerve roots are compressed as it exits the spinal canal. This condition is due to a variety of factors, including spinal disc herniation (slipped disc), spinal stenosis, tumors, infections, and bone spurs, leading to neck pain (cervical radiculopathy), upper back pain (thoracic radiculopathy), or lower back and leg pain (lumbar radiculopathy).

Common symptoms include:
• Sharp pain that may worsen over time and during certain activities such as sneezing, bending, and coughing
• Skin numbness, “pins and needles” sensation or other abnormal sensations
• Weakness and loss of reflexes
• Headaches or dizziness

Depending on the radiculopathy you have and your symptoms, it’s likely difficult to sit, stand, or move for long periods of time.

Radiculopathy is diagnosed in a few ways:
• X-rays
• Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
• Electromyography
• Computed tomography (CT) scan
• Nerve conduction studies
• Physical exams

Unfortunately, most of the causes of radiculopathy can’t be prevented, but thankfully can be treated.
